Season changes often mean a lot of things. First of all, we can free ourselves from some fabric layers, but as well the suspence rises high while awaiting one of spring’s best parts: festival line ups releases. While last summer was pretty disappointing in this matter, my favourite winter festival visit at Baloise Session was a hit, as always.

Zermatt Unplugged 2018: Winter’s gone.
Europe, Festivals, Music, SwitzerlandThere is one event I look forward to every year, which makes me tick winter as almost done, let’s say almost a celebration. If you’re a regular reader of this blog, you probably know it already: I am talking about Zermatt Unplugged.
Baloise Session 2017: Popsugar Retrospectives – Nek / Nelly Furtado
Baloise Session, Festivals, MusicYou know how I feel about the festivals I love. There’s never enough and there’s always a coming back the year after. This is how I feel about Baloise Session. This is probably still the best indoor festival I was ever part to, because of the pretty visual aspect, the spot on organisation and a golden line up.
Odesza – Esotheric. Electronic.
Music, ReleasesI belong to those people who usually is quite up to date about artists in general. I mean, I have soundcloud on on a daily basis and discovering new music is like grabbing my daily coffee to go for me. Well, sometimes I apparently miss out, I guess nobody’s perfect. In case you belong to those who never had a glimpse of Odesza, I think your time has come.
Glastonbury of the Alps
FestivalsDuring my 10+ years spent in and out of Switzerland at different festivals and music venues, I think I got a pretty decent overview, especially when it comes to Europe. I don’t know it all, I still have a ton of events on my bucket list, but I’ve certainly encountered some interesting settings along the way. There were places I visited once and festivals I go back every year, for their uniqueness in terms of line up, scenery and organization. April means we can surely start to say goodbye to the winter chills and welcome some sun on our faces, but April also means that Zermatt closes the iced up season with a bang.
Zermatt Unplugged 2016 – Hit My Heart. (part 2)
Blog, Festivals, Jack Savoretti, Music, Photography, Ronnie Scott's Allstars, Zermatt UnpluggedOn the second festival day we had way more time to enjoy everything slowly in Zermatt. We decided to go uphill to the highest event stage located on 3030m over the sea level to hear some fine jazz and face fully to the sun shining down. And who had known… later on I would be very amazed by an artist I should have heard about a long long time already.
M4MUSIC: Where Music Matters
art, Blog, Festivals, Kadebostany, Len Sander, M4Music, MusicSometimes it really happens (shock!), I don’t need to travel far out of town to join in for a music festival. It’s kind of surreal for me just to be able to get to the venue in nearly 20 minutes: while the most festivals are happening spread all over the country, this time everything was concentrated in the middle of my hometown Zurich. And as I could see during these two days, the M4Music certainly is one of the most influencing festivals in this part of the country.
Zermatt Unplugged 2016 – Australia’s Finest (part 1)
Blog, Festivals, Jamie MacDowell and Tom Thum, Xavier Rudd, Zermatt UnpluggedApril is a buzzing month, because slowly but surely, I’m able to wake up from my brief festival hibernation of three months and stick my ears wherever I can in order to enjoy familiar tunes plus discover some surprising new ones. Gosh, how I missed that! And what’s the best thing to open this year’s festival season properly? Exactly, heading on top of the mountain, for the awaited Zermatt Unplugged.
Camden Loves You
Camden Town, Europe, London, travel, UKAfter a series of non amusing events lately, I couldn’t really imagine that my girl’s weekend out of town would join the group. It’s been a while since I’ve hit the airport, for my taste, so it lightly disappointed me to know that the so awaited gateaway turned out to a solo trip. So I basically had the choice: flush everything down the toilet, or get out of town to give myself that break anyway.
RA Real Scenes: Take a Trip through the World of Electronic Music
Blog, Electronic Music, MusicA couple of years ago, Resident Advisor released a collection of short films between 20 and 30 minutes, picturing the electronic music scene in different cities worldwide. They were shown two years ago during Sónar by Day in Barcelona and as well last Fall at the Amsterdam Dance Event. These little masterpieces are a nice insight into a scene that constantly changes, lives and struggles, even for those who never really gave it a try.
