Bali for Beginners: the Top 4 for your first visit

Asia, bali, Canggu, Gili Trawangan, Indonesia, Seminyak, travel, Ubud

I’ve been the first time in Asia this year, and I had no clue what to expect. Will I like it? Will I feel comfortable? How will I react on a place that’s apparently so different from the cultures I’ve seen so far? Well, I took my first Asian trip to Indonesia, and I have to say that all the worries and questions were erased within minutes after I left the airport.

… And then you’ll feel free – About bodycult and other bullshit

#effyourbeautystandards, beauty, body, bodycult, Fashion, fitness, life, lifestyle, Tess Hollyday, Tess Munster

I always had mixed feelings about writing this post, asking myself if it could fit in here, if my opinion really matters to anyone and if it should be spoken out. Well, I came to the conclusion that I couldn’t care less, if this could move anybody of you to think about the topic or if it’s just “another article” about a theme that’s present since a good while in the medias and the internet: bodycult and -more important- body positivity.

All the love for Barceloneta

Barcelona, Barceloneta, Beach, Europe, Spain, travel, Wanderlust

Barcelona, like Amsterdam, is one of those cities where I like to come back to every year. First, because I really like this place, especially the combination of metropolitan vibe and beach town; second, because the Sonar Week and the love for electronic Music call once a year anyway.

Loose yourself in Sevilla

Sevilla, Spain, travel

The time this year came again, and my good friend Paulo and I were ready for our yearly escape during springtime. Well, it turned out that Sevilla is more a summer escape already in May, the temperatures reach easily around 40 degrees celsius in the afternoon! That’s why I wouldn’t reccommend to you guys to plan a superquick citytrip here, you won’t be able to do much outside between 2pm and 6pm, you totally should take some extra 2-3 days instead.

#foodporn – A gastronomic tour through Amsterdam: my bar & restaurant top 8

#foodporn, Amsterdam, Food, travel

When you travel to a new place, especially cities, it can get quite hard to figure out which restaurants and cafés are worth a visit. If you’re planning to visit Amsterdam, this is your lucky day! Since I’m there very often I dropped by in a bunch of restaurants, and not everyone of them was good. A lot of people ask me which places they should go at before flying to the Netherlands, so I decided to put together my absolute favourites in this post. But obviously, there is loads more than just the few ones I’m going to reccommend you here.

Amsterdam Noord: Take me to the other side

Amsterdam, travel

I’ve been to Amsterdam over 20 times already. I’ve lost the count and I couldn’t actually care less. It became kind of my old world, a place to feel comfortable and free: I love old fashioned architecture, the café culture and feeling that you won’t be judged if you’re wearing something different than the classic jeans and white tee. The laid back people and the city vibe make me come back every year for once minimum, and no: I’m not here to get stoned in a coffeeshop all day 😉 Amsterdam is way more than this.

Parov Stelar (AT): Dance your Demons out.

Electroswing, Music, Parovstelar, Release

It’s always funny for me to watch the crowd that attends a Parov Stelar concert. I Focus mostly on those who never saw them playing live, and their reactions are always putting a huge smile on my face. The band is capable to transform the whole venue into a dancing Party, it feels more like clubbing: they know how to make People happy, they’re genuine on stage, they have fun. I’ve attended a good bunch of concerts here in Switzerland, and our audience is pretty famous for staying quite calm and reserved during a live concert. It seems that Parov Stelar and his band had to appear in the Picture to Change that. I’ve never seen Swiss People going more crazy than at one of his live Performances. So, congratulations guys, a miracle actually happened!

Fashionhotel 15 Spring Edition: you almost won’t need a fashionweek anymore

Fashion

A few days ago I had the pleasure to be invited again to the spring Edition of Fashionhotel in Zurich. Last year they had their concept premiere, and this new idea of transforming a Hotel into a runway, Showroom and Workshop area totally kicked in!

FAQ Series #6: I’m short on money, should I travel anyway? 5 reasons why you should.

TRAVELLER'S FAQ

You obviously don’t have to ask me these questions, because you might already know my answer: yes, yes and again, yes! If you’ve readen my FAQ Series already, you will notice that you don’t need to be rich for travelling around from time to time. Now, I want to concentrate again a bit on this financial aspect, because I see a lot of people worrying about me sometimes, and they totally shouldn’t.

FAQ Series #5: Travelling alone, why? 4 reasons why it isn’t that bad

TRAVELLER'S FAQ

Maybe it isn’t something for everybody, but I still wanted to write a post about travelling alone. I don’t do it all the time, but for sure once a year. It happened many times, when I talked to People and told them that I was going to travel by myself, to get questions like “why are you going alone?”, “isn’t it boring?” or “aren’t you scared to go by yourself?”. No. For all three questions.
